Summary
The Ordo Sonic Lite is an excellent, cost-effective electric toothbrush.
It doesn’t have all the key features I am looking for (pressure sensor and travel case), but with a 5+ week battery life, direct USB-C charging and a design similar to a Philips Sonicare, it’s fantastic value for £34.99. ideal for people who want a modern electric toothbrush but on a limited budget.

Design and Ergonomics
The Ordo Sonic Lite toothbrush features a design similar to the popular Philips Sonicare models, making it an easy transition for those familiar with that style.
While it doesn’t introduce groundbreaking innovations in aesthetics or ergonomics, it maintains a practical and user-friendly structure that aligns with industry standards.
The matte finish of the brush makes it feel a little less slippery when wet and nice to hold. The raised Ordo logo at the bottom of the brush stops it from rolling which is a handy safeguard to have.
The only issue I have with it is the flap that covers the charging port means it is not as stable when you stand the toothbrush up.
It’s also available in 6 different colours.

Cleaning Performance
In terms of cleaning performance, the Ordo Sonic Lite is not as powerful as models from Philips, Suri, or the Sonic Plus version. However, it still delivers a sufficiently powerful cleaning experience that provides a clinical feel.
For those who prefer a stronger, more intense brushing experience, opting for a Philips model or the Sonic Plus version would be a better choice.
Key Features
The Ordo Sonic Lite comes equipped with a range of useful features:
35,000 Sonic Pulses per Minute: Though slightly lower in power compared to Philips, Suri, and the Sonic Plus models, this frequency is still adequate for a thorough clean.
Two Brushing Modes: Choose between 'Clean' (normal mode) and 'Sensitive' (lighter mode) to cater to individual preferences and needs.
Long-lasting Li-ion Battery: With over five weeks of battery life per charge, this toothbrush is ideal for both daily use and travel.
Smart Timer with Quad Pacer: A built-in two-minute timer encourages optimal brushing time, with a quad pacer to ensure even cleaning across all areas of the mouth.
USB-C Charging: Convenient, direct USB-C charging for easy recharging.
Warranty and Guarantee: Comes with a two-year warranty and a 60-day money-back guarantee for peace of mind.
Color Variety: Available in six different colours, offering a range of options to suit personal style.
The main feature that the Sonic Lite lacks is a pressure sensor which is very important for people who tend to brush too hard.

Travel-Friendly Features
For travellers, the Ordo Sonic Lite offers some excellent perks. The direct USB-C charging capability makes it easy to charge on the go, and with an impressive battery life of over five weeks, it’s ideal for extended trips without frequent recharging.
However, one downside is the lack of a travel case, which would add extra convenience and protection while on the move.
Sustainability
Ordo takes a refreshingly honest approach to sustainability, acknowledging the industry's challenges with greenwashing and the bandwagon effect around eco-friendly claims.
The brand is transparent about the issues surrounding compostable and degradable items, which can sometimes lead to more harm than good if not properly managed.
For the toothbrush heads, Ordo offers a free return and recycling program, where plastics are broken down, washed, and potentially reused in future products. However, there is no mention yet of what these future products will be and when they will be available.
Price / Money-back Guarentee
Positioned at the more affordable end of the sonic toothbrush market, the Ordo Sonic Lite offers a competitive option for those seeking effective sonic cleaning without a high price tag. The brush is £34.99, and replacement heads cost £5 each.
Additionally, Ordo provides a 60-day money-back offer, allowing users to try the toothbrush risk-free. For added peace of mind, it comes with a two-year warranty, reflecting the brand's confidence in the product’s quality and durability.
Just remember to activate your extended warranty on their website.

Final Thoughts
The Ordo Sonic Lite is a solid choice, especially considering its affordable price point. While the bristles feel slightly plasticky compared to some premium models, they perform effectively, delivering a decent clean. The absence of a pressure sensor and a travel case may be drawbacks for some users, making it less ideal for those seeking additional features. However, for those on a limited budget, this brush stands out as a cost-effective option that offers essential sonic cleaning without compromising too much on quality.

Sonic vs Rotating (Oscilating) vs Manual Brushes
A common question I get about toothbrushes is which one is best. The honest, simple answer is that any toothbrush, as long as you use it properly, is enough to keep your teeth free from decay and gum disease.
Several studies have shown that a rechargeable electric brush is much better at removing plaque than a manual brush … however, there is no evidence to show whether or not a specific type of electric brush is better than any other.
There are 2 main types of electric brushes:
Oscilating (rotating) heads (Oral-B)
Sonic (vibrating) heads (Philips Sonicare, SURI and Ordo)
Both will leave you with clean and healthy teeth, but opinions are entirely split, even among dentists, about which is better. Try them out and use the one you feel most comfortable with.
Ordo’s money-back guarantee allows you to give it a go, and if you don’t like the feeling of it, you can return it and try an Oral-B toothbrush instead.
